Q4 2023 Performance of Top Beauty Retail Apps in Latin America on Android

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, so does the performance of beauty retail applications. In the fourth quarter of 2023, we observed notable trends in the Latin American market for the top 5 beauty retail apps on the Android platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Sephora BR saw a fluctuating pattern in downloads, starting the quarter with around 5K downloads and peaking at nearly 29K in mid-October. Weekly active users showed a steady rise, beginning with 35K and climbing to approximately 90K by the end of December.

The counterpart, Sephora México, also displayed an upward trajectory in weekly downloads, spiking to over 10K in early November, with a subsequent dip and a rebound to roughly 10K towards the quarter's end. Unfortunately, data on weekly active users for Sephora México was not available.

Nykaa - Beauty Shopping App, while having a smaller footprint, demonstrated a steady download rate, with numbers ranging from 2K to over 2.3K in early October. Active users maintained a stable engagement, hovering around 12K to 13K throughout the quarter.

Perfumerías DRUNI experienced a similar pattern, with downloads peaking at nearly 1.5K in mid-November and active users showing a steady increase from around 5.6K to 7.5K by the end of December.

Lastly, BEAUTY BAY had a modest presence in terms of downloads, with numbers ranging from 24 to 220 during the quarter. Active users showed a decline from 688 in late October to 263 by Christmas.
